Problem

Image Usage Scanner solves a WordPress maintenance question that is deceptively difficult: where is a media item being used? Images can appear as featured media, in normal content or inside supported ACF fields, so deleting or replacing a file based on one screen can break references elsewhere.

Solution

I shaped Image Usage Scanner as an admin-only audit workflow that reports media relationships instead of modifying them. It checks featured images and supported ACF image or gallery fields in bounded batches, saving progress so a scan can continue after interruption.
